The Role:

An international luxury furniture brand are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. Our client has built an exceptional name in the industry and their brand and projects are recognised globally as one of the top names and companies in the design industry.

The ideal candidate will have previous all-round finance experience in retail or design – preferably with an online retailer. This is a newly created position, therefore an excellent opportunity for someone to put their own stamp on a role within one of the industry’s most exciting brands. Reporting directly to the COO you will be communicating and have input with the senior and wider team giving you the ability to have significant involvement with company’s finances and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all transactions, revenue and expenditure are properly accounted for in the correct periods and with accuracy
  • Cashflow management and forecasting
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Credit card reconciliation and management
  • Prepare and produce monthly management accounts
  • Ensure annual statutory accounts are filed
  • Ensure all HMRC reporting and returns and submitted in a timely manner
  • Implement and manage financial systems and processes
  • Provide financial and analysis reports

Key Skills:

  • Relevant financial qualification advantageous
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organised and efficient
  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Be proactive with ideas and suggestions
