Architectural Project Manager
The Role:
Our client, a sought after and globally recognised design firm is currently in search of a highly organised and skilled individual to assume the role of Deputy Project Manager for their London Studio. The ideal candidate should possess significant previous experience a Project Architect position before moving into a Design Management or Project Management role.
Within this role, you will provide oversight, support, and guidance to the teams across all aspects of design development on a high-profile projects which will last for a number of years. You will be responsible for delivering technical excellent and the successful execution of the construction processes including assisting with compliance at all levels.
This is a perfect opportunity for an individual with previous experience in a similar role to join a prestigious and world leading architecture practice where there is scope to be involved on a broader scale and gain exposure within an international studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contract-related tasks for a large-scale international project
- Provide support and guidance to project leaders
- Act as key internal point of contact, co-ordinating between different departments on project specifics
- Compile project on-boarding and briefing documents
- Monitor and track resource budgets
- Address resourcing needs and maintain effective team structures
- To help prepare and update design programmes appropriate to the work stage.
- Supervise risk assessment and mitigation
- Coordinate conversations between project stakeholders
- Ensure drawing sets are practical and conforming
- Prepare contract documents
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience working within project, commercial, or contract management within the architectural industry on large scale international schemes
- At least 5+ years’ experience in a Project Architect role
- Exhibit resilience in managing conflicting demands, prioritising tasks and working under pressure
- Confident in assessing and interpreting contractual obligations effectively
- Demonstrable understanding of the creative design process through all work stages
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrate strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Exceptional organisational abilities, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are managed
- Comfortable receiving constructive guidance from managers
