Assistant Project Manager
The Role:
Our client, a leading hospitality firm specializing in high-end projects, is seeking two Assistant Project Managers to join their NYC team. This is a hands-on role which requires someone who is highly detail-oriented and comfortable in a dynamic administrative position. The position will task the right candidate with leading administrative support across the project teams in interior design. This would involve assisting the team in all project phases including procurement, documentation, oversight, and installation. This is a great fit for someone who works well with a team, is highly communicative, and is attentive to ensuring quality results. It’s also important that the candidate be able to confidently drive initiatives and ensure that projects goals are met to deadline.
This is a great opportunity for someone with some previous project management experience, or project-focused admin experience, who would be looking to grow within a well-established firm. Background in architecture/design is highly beneficial, but not required. The role is hands-on, will involve site visits, and sometimes will require working outside of business hours.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor projects with regards to budget and timeline requirements, as well as quality standards
- Liaise with clients, vendors, designers, contractors and project teams to align individuals towards broader project goals.
- Act as main point of contact with purchasing agents
- Create weekly reports to review project progress, and present these to senior designers in the studio
- Prepare general documentations and estimates surrounding the bid process and general construction administration

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Someone with the ability to hold themselves and others accountable to project goals and deadlines
Someone comfortable speaking with clients and presenting themselves with utmost professionalism - Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks within complex projects
- Quick problem-solving skills and the ability to work well with a team
