Senior Interior Design Lead

The Role:

We are working with a leading international interior design studio who are going from strength to strength. They are looking for a Senior Interior Design Lead who has experience working on high-end hospitality projects.

As a leader in the boutique hospitality space, our award-winning client has garnered international acclaim for their distinct style and unique approach to interiors and bespoke FF&E. This position will be an integral part of their management team and will represent the studio with excellence across all projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who is seeking a path to leadership, with experience across both high-end hospitality and residential areas. A candidate with vision, drive and a passion for design would flourish in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple projects at a time across high-end hotels, restaurants, bars and residential projects, of varying size, complexity and design phase
• Be deeply involved in leadership and management meetings to ensure the flow of work and projects is evenly distributed
• Contribute to the firm’s overall design vision and ensure this is being executed at all project levels via senior design staff
• Conduct various performance reviews
• Work closely with the admin and operations team on hiring and talent needs
• Oversee the standardization of design intent, processes and other needs across the office
• Contribute to the growth and representation of the practice overall with design excellence

Key Skills:

• A degree in interior design, architecture or interior architecture
• Extensive experience designing and leading high-end residential and hospitality projects with a developed portfolio of completed works
• Thorough understanding of design documentation and fabrication practices
• Experience with high-level management of projects across multiple departments
• Strong communicator across different areas of focus including client presentations, information sharing among leaders and how to balance needs between teams of designers and upper management
• Strong knowledge of CAD, Adobe CS and SketchUp
