Associate Interior Designer

About The Role:

A global, multi-award-winning studio renowned for their progressive workplace projects are looking for an Associate Interior Designer with strong commercial experience for a strategic role within their highly successful interiors team.

You will be an integral part of the team and support and manage projects from concept to completion alongside strategic business wide responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of the team expertise including concept design, FF+E, technical detailing, tender and construction packages
• Lead design and technical reviews
• Drawing package development and management – leading the creation of design drawings and documents.
• Manage team resources, budgets and financials.
• Work within a multi discipline environment leading and assisting with coordination and clash management for projects.
• Assist designers and architects in reviewing construction work on site.

Key Skills/Requirements:

• A degree in interior design or architecture
• 10+ years’ experience
• Excellent Revit experience (minimum 5 years) with technical focus abilities
• Excellent design and technical detailing skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge and ability to undertake on-going research of joinery, furniture systems, products, finishes and materials
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate a team
• Client management skills
• Excellent knowledge of all work stages and level of detail required for each RIBA stage
