BIM Manager

The Role:

This veteran of the architecture industry is seeking a BIM Manager to join their established team in New York. They have a unique, research-based approach to design and have remained a leading influencer in the field for nearly 50 years, covering commercial projects across the cultural, retail, civic and other sectors.

This role requires holistic ownership of all BIM needs for the New York office as this team develops and grows. You will have support from the larger BIM department from their offices across the globe. Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly alongside architecture teams to ensure BIM tools and processes are correctly implemented into each phase
• Work closely with the larger global BIM team on establishing company-wide standards
• Be involved in project kick-off and model set-up at initial design phases
• Mentor and onboard team members as the BIM team grows
• Revit library/asset management
• Work alongside support teams to resolve complex problems as they arise
• BIM QA/QC
• Further, develop the design technology department through knowledge sharing with global BIM teams and continued research

Key Skills :

• A bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or similar
• Experience working in an office that oversees complex and large-scale commercial architecture projects
• A comprehensive understanding of the architectural design process
• Expert-level knowledge of Revit
• Strong knowledge of Navisworks, Rhino, Dynamo and adjacent programs highly advantageous
• Experience implementing Revit and BIM standards within an office
• Comfortable working autonomously
