Business Development Coordinator

The Role:

A highly influential and highly sought-after global design studio is seeking a motivated Business Development Coordinator to join their London office. This is a new position within the team and gives the opportunity and scope to put your stamp on something and make the role your own!

In this role, you will report to the Director of BD and work in a small team which will focus on projects both nationally and internationally. You will assist with identifying new business opportunities and will be responsible for collating information and materials such as responses to RFPs and RFQs. Our client requires someone who is detail-focused, can meet deadlines on time and efficiently and possess excellent administration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively support the Business Development Team, Directors, and Senior Management
  • Enhance the practice’s market presence and positioning internationally
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and collaborators
  • Coordinate comprehensive tenders and submissions
  • Manage project information, CVs, portfolios, and presentations effectively
  • Maintain expertise in CRM and project databases to assist the BD team
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reporting on potential projects, backed by proactive market research
  • Assist in drafting fee proposals for potential projects as required
  • Collaborate with the press team on various promotional activities
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external consultants to ensure seamless coordination

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the design industry, ideally within architecture
  • Proficient in multitasking, prioritisation, and adept at working independently and collaboratively
  • Skilled in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
  • Exceptional communication and organisational prowess
  • Proactive, self-driven, and enthusiastic approach to tasks
  • Strong interest in conducting market research within architecture and design
  • Excellent written and spoken English
