About The Role:

The Crowd is proud to be partnering with an award-winning global design studio known for crafting exceptional high-end environments across hospitality, residential, and mixed-use sectors. With studios across the globe and a legacy of elevated, timeless interiors, the firm is now seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to help drive its next phase of growth in the U.S.

This is a senior, high-impact role focused on identifying and converting new business opportunities across luxury markets, with a preference for candidates based in Miami (with consideration also given to those throughout the East Coast). You’ll collaborate closely with firm leadership and global design teams to build client relationships, shape go-to-market strategies, and grow a robust pipeline across the East Coast and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic business development efforts across key U.S. markets, with a focus on luxury hospitality and residential opportunities
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through targeted outreach, relationship-building, and industry event participation
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to shape proposals, presentations, and pitch strategies tailored to each opportunity
  • Analyze pipeline health and report on wins/losses to refine approach, pricing, and positioning in real time
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients throughout the pre-sale and onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition to design teams

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in winning large-scale hospitality or high-end residential design projects (project value of ~$2M+)
  • Extensive network of contacts across the design, development, or real estate sectors, particularly in luxury markets
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills – comfortable talking with senior-level contacts
  • Strong understanding of the business of design, including pipeline management, resource planning, and revenue forecasting
  • High energy, team-oriented mindset with a polished, detail-oriented approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, design-driven environment
