Computational Designer & Developer
The Role:
This is an incredible opportunity to join an emerging department at one of the most established architecture practices in the world. With a highly influential presence in the architecture space, this firm is developing their environmental technology department and are seeking a sharp and enthusiastic Computational Designer & Developer to further the expansion of this team.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale commercial projects around the world. The environmental technology team is currently in it’s infancy – this is a chance to significantly impact the integration of modeling tools and scripts within the larger team of architects across the practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement modeling workflows to encourage the use and distribution of environment and energy modeling tools throughout the office
- Work closely alongside the environmental technology team to further the use and integration of computational technologies at the firm
- Train and educate internal architects on how to utilize the tools that you are developing
- Create tailored parametric models to address design problems across the architectural space
- Further the development of the newly integrated machine learning and related tools for the firm
- Weave environmental simulation tools and processes into the design process
- Contribute to the growth of the department through research and knowledge sharing
Key Skills:
- Candidates should possess at least one degree in architecture, engineering, computational design, sustainable design, or a closely related field
- An absolute requirement for this role is previous experience building science and environmental modeling, with a focus on developing code and apps with C# and Python
- Expert proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper and associated plugins/tools related to energy modeling
- Proven experience building energy models with EnergyPlus
