Creative Director (Artisanal + Luxury Designs)

The Role:

Our client, a boutique interior design studio that specialise in high-end interior design and architecture are seeking a Creative Director to join their team in Florence, Italy, on a permanent basis. They have a large focus on luxury residential projects and specialise in artisanal and timeless designs in collaboration with artists and creatives.

Working closely alongside the company directors, the ideal candidate will have experience in creating experiences for high-net worth clients and will have worked on high-end residential projects from concept to completion. Our client is looking for someone with an artistic flare as you will be a creative source within the studio who will inspire other designers in the team to push the boundaries with the aim of delivering refined and elevated projects and services.

This is an exciting time to join a growing studio that have a family feel and offer a collaborative working culture and flexible working style. Our client is open to someone joining from Italy or someone who is looking to relocate to Florence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a creative flare when building a brief with high-net worth clients
• Manage and execute projects through all design stages of the interiors phase, effectively managing project timelines and workflow
• Provide guidance through the project development phase
• Assist in design presentations, client proposals and fee projections
• Manage project budgets, schedules and project constraints
• Be a ‘face of the business’ managing client communication and agreements
• Conduct meetings with clients, contractors, and third parties
• Identify and resolve any foreseen or unforeseen project issues
• Attend and lead project development meetings
• Provide mentorship to junior team members
• Identify new business opportunities and develop client relationships
• Assist with marketing campaigns, award submissions, and press releases
• Participate in recruiting new members of the team
• Contribute to company strategy, growth and development
• Attend industry related events
• Act as a sounding board to the directors
• Act as a company ambassador

Key Skills:

• Experience in a senior design position ideally within the luxury design sector but not a necessity
• Commercially minded with a desire to execute to a high level
• Able to motivate and nurture a team
• A keen ideas sharer with a creative flare with an eye for luxury design
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Exceptional portfolio exhibiting a creative and crafted approach to design
