Director of Communications
About The Role:
A pioneering, international design studio who specialize in telling spatial stories with their transformative and experiential designs, are seeking a Director of Communications to lead and manage the PR & communications efforts across their passionate and diverse US and European teams.
Please note, this role is open to candidates based in New York or London.
With a passion for creating compelling marketing campaigns and a desire to drive market coverage for a firm who are all about telling stories through their thought-provoking designs, you will work in close collaboration with a friendly and driven leadership team to produce, develop and execute both new and ongoing PR, communications and marketing strategies and initiatives. The ideal person will be strategically minded and commercially, have both internal and external marketing experience, possess strong visual design or communications experience and a will have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead content strategy for all marketing and PR initiatives
- Create and manage engaging content for social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn) and other external communications
- Provide senior leadership with advice on best practices and strategies to strengthen the company’s brand and market presence
- Update website content and design ensuring relevance and engagement
- Manage external newsletter content creation and distribution
- Analyze digital marketing campaign effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels
- Cultivate relationships with major media outlets, industry influencers, and partners to boost the company’s visibility and reputation
- Coordinate internal and external communications, scheduling meetings as required
- Develop and manage internal communication materials
- Collaborate across teams to align communications with firm’s brand and goals
- Oversee communications with internal staff and external contacts, coordinating various aspects of the communications process and scheduling meetings as needed.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public engagements
Key Skills/Requirements:
- , Communications, Marketing, or related field
- A strong leader with experience managing a team
- Hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media management, and advertising
- Experience working within architecture, design, the creative design space
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and adept with social media management tools
- Effective at managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Skilled in website content management
- Proficient in photography and familiar with magazine/book layouts is advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience managing budgets
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of print production methods is beneficial
