FF&E Procurement Lead

The Role:

Our client who are an international architecture and interior design studio are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated FF&E Procurement Lead to join their small and busy team in Central London.

The ideal candidate will be very organised with a strong understanding of the procurement process within the design industry. The driven and hardworking team are looking for someone who is keen to make a positive impact within the company. The role would be great for someone who loves coordinating the delivery and implementation of stages, enjoys building relationships with suppliers and has a good understanding of FF&E.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the initial FF&E procurement budget for all projects
  • Collaborate with management teams to decide deadlines, timelines and budgets
  • Source detailed specifications for FF&E team ensuring items are compliant with necessary regulations
  • Place orders and liaise with each supplier to ensure every order is delivered on time and to the correct specification
  • Ensure all procurement remains within budget and time
  • Inspect goods upon delivery alongside the FF&E designers
  • Liaise with contractors and the client team to organise the installation of the FF&E
  • Approve supplier invoices for payment and assisting the accounts team to complete the final project reconciliation
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with suppliers ensuring all lead times are known and orders are accurate

Key Skills:

  • Team player, able to support and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Experience with procurement process of high-end projects
  • Strong organisation, administrative and numeracy skills
  • Great time management, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Confident and excellent communicator with a professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Good attention to detail and methodical in approach
  • Flexible and happy to help with ad-hoc tasks
  • Proficient in IT skills such as MS Office, Excel and CRM databases
  • Self-motivator who is able to work in a team and independently
