FF&E Specialist/Industrial Designer

The Role:

We are currently working with a renowned international design firm at the forefront of the industry – they are looking for a skilled and creative FF&E Specialist / Industrial Designer to join their team at their Manhattan studio.

Collaborative efforts are highly emphasized, and they’re currently seeking ambitious designers to become part of their highly successful and design orientated team. Within this role, you will assist with technical and creative efforts of custom furniture designs from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate innovative and distinctive designs while conveying concepts through visual and verbal means
• Provide and develop custom furniture drawings
• Work through entire scope of industrial based designs from concept through execution
• Source furnishings, materials, art, and other design-based fixtures
• Select and document designs for client presentations including 3D models and views
• Document specifications and drawings

Key Skills:

• Ideally 5+ years of experience with FF&E and industrial designs
• Extensive experience in procurement within a hospitality design firm
• Displays a robust blend of technical expertise and conceptual design initiatives
• Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, adobe Creative Suite, 3D renderings and hand representations / drawings
