Finance Procurement Coordinator

The Role:

A sought-after luxury design company that is seeking a Finance Procurement Coordinator to join their elite southwest London studio.

The role will provide operational support to the Financial Procurement Manager and work on the financial element of interiors projects with a focus on the procurement stages of the delivery cycle. This role is perfect for someone with project accounting experience or procurement experience with previous exposure to project financials. You will be required to have a good understanding of contract management and will be commercially astute with a background/keen interest in the luxury design sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing procurement contracts, including collating all the relevant information from the relevant teams such as scope, budgets, delivery schedule 
  • Preparing draft proposals with payments schedules, costing and project planners ensuring the correct treatment of VAT
  • Review project summary reports identifying over/underspends.
  • Regularly review project planners to ensure projects are on the right track with timings and costings
  • Review summary reports before issuing them to clients.
  • Attend monthly meetings to ensure project timelines and project forecasting are on target
  • Review project margins
  • Ensure payments and receipts relating to projects are posted efficiently and sales and purchase invoices are posted correctly.
  • Ensure project bank accounts and proforma accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis 
  • Process and reconcile all costs relating to projects and produce a P&L detailing the expenditure of the project
  • Prepare supplier payment runs ready for authorisation.
  • Review monthly accruals and advise of any issues
  • Ensure deliveries are managed in line with import/export requirements, including ensuring the correct VAT treatment

Key Skills:

  • Strong project management and procurement experience in the design industry
  • Previous project finance exposure/experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Analytical with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience using accounting software
  • A keen interest in the luxury design sector
  • Able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
