Head of Conservation (Architecture)
About The Role:
Our client, a national practice known for their multi award-winning restoration and adaptive re-use projects are looking for a proven Head of Conservation with experience working on listed or buildings of historical significance.
Within the role, you will be leading large-scale, high-profile projects, managing clients and the studio’s external network as well as being responsible for the coordination of the internal team. Focusing on an iconic London buildings, previous experience in heritage and listed buildings with a passion for conservation are essential. You will be a talented architect and leader, who is a results-driven and commercially minded within a hands-on role, and will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and strategic knowhow.

Key Skills/Requirements:
- 10-15 years post registration experience.
- Leadership experience managing a small to medium sized studio, business, or team.
- Proven ability to win conservation projects.
- Have excellent design, technical and conservation skills, and experience.
- Have a strong understanding of the UK Building and Planning regulations.
- Proficiency in Revit/BIM
- Experience of taking responsibility for the financial aspects of projects with commercial awareness.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be well organised, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work and projects
- Lead and manage the seamless running of all architectural projects to the highest standards
- Ability to thinking strategically at a practice level
- Local market knowledge and intelligence
- A track record of client satisfaction
- Industry recognition and regarded as an exemplar in their field
- Proven ability of leading, managing, and developing individuals and teams, through excellent communication and people skills
- Experience of working with studio leadership to continue developing a business
