Hospitality Manager

The Role:

A highly sought after and internationally recognised design studio is looking for a service minded and forward-thinking Hospitality Manager to join their London studio.

Within this role, you’ll manage and plan events, visits, and general activities that take place within the gallery space of their beautiful studio, ensuring the space and environment is always maintained to the highest standards.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid hospitality and event management experience with a genuine appreciation and interest in the architecture and design industry to make a role their own and put their stamp on a position within a prestigious and noteworthy business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure presentation is of a high level within the gallery and office space
  • Manage and coach service and reception teams to ensure they deliver an exceptional quality of service in line with the culture and standards of the studio
  • General event management of client meetings, client presentations, office events, team events, public facing talks, receptions and more
  • Work closely with the Facilities Team to coordinate and monitor the correct use and operations of the company’s facilities
  • Set standards of service delivery for internal and external service staff
  • Reinforce office protocol
  • Coordinate budget for procurement of stock needed to facilitate the smooth operations of the office and internal/external events (e.g. event furniture rental, crockery, appliances, etc.)
  • Coordinate with the Archive team on exhibitions and displays
  • Bring forward suggestions for best practices and improvements to catering and set up process for events meetings
  • Line manage the housekeeping team
  • Help to managing budget and logistics for events
  • Ensure meeting rooms are always set up efficiently and maintained to a high standard
  • Keep up to date on the latest trends and best practices for industry events

Key Skills:

  • Previous event coordination or hospitality management experience, ideally within the creative industry
  • Experience in delivering exceptional hospitality service and managing/liaising with reception/housekeeping/cleaning teams
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to problem solve and think on your feet
  • Confident, eloquent and professional
  • Commitment to providing a professional, efficient, high-quality service
  • A genuine appreciation for the design industry
  • A natural leader, charismatic and discrete
