HR Assistant

The Role:

We are working with a leading architecture and interior design studio that has created influential and notable projects across the hospitality, multi-family and cultural sectors both locally and internationally. They are looking for an assertive, direct communicator HR Assistant to join their successful New York team.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in an HR position and is ideal for a junior candidate who is motivated to learn and develop their skills.

This is a great opportunity to join an award-winning studio in a part-time position, 3 days a week. Their bright and sunny office is located in an easily accessible area of downtown Manhattan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the finance department to provide payroll support.
  • Maintain personnel files and work to update or improve employee data systems when needed
  • Assist with coordinating and troubleshooting benefit and PTO packages, as well as managing enrollment.
  • Provide support to the HR Manager and other members of the Operations Team
  • Oversee logging of PTO of all staff members and ensure that timesheets are accurate and up-to-date
  • Contribute to other HR tasks as needed

Key Skills: 

  • HR experience with familiarity in employees’ regulations compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for helping people and improving systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically with Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Highly detail-oriented with great accuracy in data entry
