Illustrator / 3D Artist

The Role:

Our client who is a highly acclaimed design practice, are looking for an Illustrator/3D Artist to join their busy team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with architectural or interior illustration experience who wants to learn and develop further with a practice whose work is highly respected and recognised globally.

This position will be within the visualisation team who work collaboratively under the direction of the Head of Visualisation. They incorporate elements of visuals as a layer of information onto animated and cinematic still visuals and to create client ready sketch visuals and diagramic drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to recreate 3D atmospheric and true to vision sketch stills
  • Ability to replicate studio developed styles to synchronise with other drawings
  • Ability to illustrate conceptual studies and diagramic 2D exercises.
  • Working closely with the project team to ensure a clear brief is taken and understood ahead of starting any works and to ensure workflow meets the expectations/timeframes of all involved parties
  • Presenting work in progress to the relevant teams for comments/feedback on any design changes
  • Supporting and working closely with other departments such as the New Business Team to provide ad-hoc drawing support on proposals, supporting the Project Team with co-ordinating and commenting on external visualizer/art workers
  • Provide drawing tips and practice sessions to small groups of the internal team

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience within architectural or interior illustration
  • Exceptional control of line weights/hand sketching skills, including silhouettes and planting
  • Flexible, can-do attitude with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Adaptable, confident communicator, strong attention to detail with high-quality standards
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Enthusiastic about learning, developing and sharing knowledge
  • Ability to use a Wacom (or similar)
  • Proficient in: Adobe, Vray, Blend, Nscape, Rhino in an advantage
