Interior Architect (Exhibition and Cultural Design)

About The Role:

Our client, a renowned Interior Design and Architecture firm, is celebrated for its innovative and contextual design philosophy, seamlessly blending creativity with real-world functionality to craft unforgettable spaces. They are seeking to hire an Interior Architectural Designer with an emphasis on the exhibition and cultural design sectors.

This role provides an exciting opportunity for creative individuals to shape impactful projects that captivate and engage diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for storytelling through spatial design, an exceptional attention to detail, and a talent for transforming innovative concepts into immersive, experiential environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the creative team and contribute to the full scope of exhibition and cultural projects, from initial concept through final execution
  • Craft comprehensive design documentation, including FF&E specifications, spatial layouts, lighting plans, and other technical details
  • Utilize design tools to produce high-quality 3D models, sketches, and renderings
  • Contribute to the technical representation of floor plans, elevations, and spatial compositions
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, and consultants, ensuring the design vision is preserved through every project phase
  • Assist in planning project timelines, evaluating budgets, and managing cost estimates to ensure efficient and timely delivery of all project milestones
  • Communicate design ideas and progress updates through polished presentations, aligning with client expectations and securing approval at every stage

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • A degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited university
  • 4+ years of industry experience in interior design, or architecture, with a focus on exhibitions, cultural spaces, or similar sectors
  • Expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape, with proficiency in Revit considered a significant advantage
  • A balance of creative vision and technical precision, with the ability to deliver innovative yet practical designs
  • Outstanding organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of effectively presenting ideas and collaborating with diverse teams
  • A strong team-oriented mindset, coupled with the ability to mentor junior designers and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture
