Intermediate Interior Designer (Hospitality)

About The Role:

A celebrated and internationally renowned design practice is seeking a talented Intermediate Interior Designer to join its growing team in Los Angeles. Known for its expressive and richly layered approach to interiors, the studio specializes in boutique hospitality, luxury F&B, and high-end residential environments that blend artistry, materiality, and narrative into timeless spaces.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven and detail-oriented designer with a passion for hospitality interiors and a discerning design sensibility. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, creative studio environment that values originality, craft, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of design, from conceptual development to construction administration, F&B, boutique hospitality projects, and high end residential projects.
  • Collaborate with senior designers and creative directors on visual research, presentations, space planning, and FF&E selection
  • Assist with sourcing of materials, finishes, vintage pieces, and custom furnishings with an emphasis on innovation and storytelling
  • Support the creation of detailed drawing sets and specifications, including custom furniture design and interior architectural detailing
  • Liaise with vendors, consultants, and fabricators to ensure design intent is clearly communicated and executed
  • Contribute to site coordination, installation oversight, and punch lists as needed

Key Skills / Requirements:

  • 4–6 years of relevant interior design experience, with a strong background in hospitality and/or luxury commercial projects
  • Strong conceptual design ability paired with a deep appreciation for materials, texture, and visual composition
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and SketchUp
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Highly organized and adaptable, with a strong sense of initiative and accountability
  • Comfort working in a creative, fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines
