Intermediate Interior Designer (Hospitality)

About the Role:

An internationally recognized design firm is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join their growing team in Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-end hospitality projects, contributing to concept development, design execution, and project coordination.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with senior designers and architects, working on a variety of luxury hotel and hospitality interiors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design process from concept through completion, ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Develop and produce detailed drawings, presentations, and 3D renderings.
  • Work across multiple hospitality projects, balancing design creativity with technical precision.
  • Coordinate with senior designers, consultants, vendors, and contractors to maintain design integrity.
  • Produce and refine technical documentation, material specifications, and FF&E selections.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
  • Participate in client presentations, incorporating feedback into the design process.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in interior design, ideally within hospitality interiors
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and CAD (Revit preferred)
  • Experience producing detailed drawings, elevations, and design documentation
  • Solid understanding of FF&E, materials, and interior detailing
  • Ability to work on multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
  • Strong time management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
  • NCIDQ certification is a plus, but not required
