Intermediate Interior Designer (Residential)

The Role:

A leading multidisciplinary firm specialising in luxury residential, hospitality and commercial projects, are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join their collaborative and social team in New York.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in designing upscale single and/or multi family projects, having been actively involved in all phases of the interior design process. This is a perfect opportunity for an individual who exhibits exceptional organisational skills, visionary thinking and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be heavily involved in all phases of the design process from initial concept through to post-install
• Oversee custom and spec’d FF&E process including design and documentation
• Be involved in space planning
• Collaborate with Senior Designers and Design Director to prepare and present client presentations
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and day-to-day project needs

Key Skills:

• A degree in interior design, architecture or interior architecture
• A demonstrated portfolio showcasing finished work and role in residential projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe CS
• Spec software familiarity would be a plus
• Enthusiastic individual who can take their own initiative
• Accustomed to and comfortable with working to fast-paced and demanding deadlines
• A collaborative team player who can effectively manage and subordinate staff
• Excellent communication skills
