Intermediate Residential Designer

The Role:

This boutique interior design studio based in Manhattan is known for its ability to transport you to another world in their interiors whether it be a lobby, hotel room, restaurant or home. The have an expanding pipeline of projects coming up in 2023 and are seeking a strong intermediate-level Interior Designer to create interiors in their residential department. This role will focus primarily on luxury single-family residential spaces.

In addition to working on exciting projects, this practice also offers a hybrid working schedule great medical benefits and a beautifully designed office close to many main subway lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize design ideas and space planning
• Work alongside the internal design team to create and assemble presentation decks and their content
• Be involved in FF&E specifications including schedules and close correspondence with vendors
• Create technical drawings to align with design intent, with emphasis on elaborate millwork and custom FF&E
• Work on an array of single-family residential projects

Key Skills:

• A degree in architecture, interior architecture or interior design
• Applicable experience designing residential interiors, mostly focused on single-family
• Proficiency in CAD and Adobe CS
• Strong understanding custom furniture design
• Excellent documentation and detailing skills
• Experience in all parts of the design process from concept – post-construction
• Strong knowledge of interior materials and their applications
