IT Operations Manager

The Role:

We are working with a world leading design studio who are known for their pioneering contribution to the architecture industry, they are seeking an IT Operations Manager to join their team.

Our client are looking for a confident, dynamic and communicative IT professional who has previous experience in supporting the IT operations within a large company. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational side of the company’s IT functions and projects for all offices run smoothly and efficiently, and the delivery to the end user is supplied to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all IT projects for the studio, ensuring effective end user support is provided
  • Manage all IT services provided by third parties
  • Act as an intermediary between the studio and its end user support team and 3rd party support
  • Ensure relationships with third party IT project managers and engineers are maintained
  • Develop, maintain and communicate the company’s IT SOPs.
  • Work closely with department heads to improve and develop internal processes
  • Be the ‘go to person’ for escalating end user support matters
  • Manage, attend and coordinate weekly calls with IT Managers and representatives
  • Proactively propose improvements and developments to existing processes
  • Manage priorities and deadlines in conjunction with the IT Help Desk
  • Play a key role in ensuring collaboration across the design and IT teams
  • Responsible for the maintenance of end user hardware and lifecycle including ensuring  IT inventory is maintained
  • Take the lead on co-ordinating IT projects, quality reviews and project deliverables
  • Carry out third party supplier reviews
  • Play a key role in the cyber security delivery for the business

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a large multi-site company
  • Strong IT engineering background
  • Experience in Microsoft/ Azure/ VMWare technology stack
  • Microsoft Support Engineer Certification would be an advantage
  • Forward thinking and approachable with problem-solving abilities
  • Able to work to critical deadlines and prioritise
  • Has the confidence to lead on projects and is able to articulate well to non-IT employees
  • Previous experience in a creative company is advantageous
