IT Support Engineer

The Role:

The Crowd are working with a mid-sized architecture practice who have built an impressive reputation internationally for their design-led approach to their projects across their multidisciplinary portfolio. They are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in London.

You will play a key role in delivering exceptional technical support to all employees, ensuring the prompt and efficient resolution of all IT-related matters. Your contributions will be instrumental in steering, developing and enhancing the client’s IT goals alongside the IT Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1st and 2nd Line technical support for desktops and maintenance
• Set up and maintain workstations and laptops
• Collaborate with IT Manager on system reviews and software management
• Manage and support cloud-based email (Office 365)
• Oversee internal phone system and coordinate with telecom suppliers
• Guide staff on software usage and resolve day-to-day technical challenges
• Monitor and maintain server and folder structures, data storage, and backups
• Assist in project setup, file organisation, and document control procedures
• Work with architects on web-based document control systems (Newforma)

Key Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• Strong communication skills
• Confident translating technical information for non-technical audiences
• Skilled in diagnosing and fixing technical problems efficiently, both independently and collaboratively
• Knowledge of CAD and BIM software beneficial but not mandatory
