Junior Architect

The Role:

Our client, an established Interior Design studio, boasts an elevated and highly creative body of work, with countless awards over decades of commitment to the industry. Their team is seeking a talented Junior Architect to contribute to exciting commercial projects with a focus in hotels, F&B, multifamily spaces and others. This firm is known for it’s exciting and vibrant design aesthetic and is offering a unique opportunity in architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to all project phases in an architectural capacity. Project typologies would including hospitality spaces (hotels, F&B), multifamily projects, cultural spaces, mixed-use spaces and occasionally others
• Contribute to the development of overall design intent
• Work closely alongside interior designers to communicate design intent through documentation drawings
• Work closely with vendors for architectural materiality needs
• Create 3D models and renders for iterative and presentation purposes
• Occasionally contribute to project management duties as well

Key Skills:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture
• A stand-out portfolio of work showing your thought process in design
• Any professional experience in hospitality design would be considered an asset
• Any experience working on renowned projects in an architectural capacity would be beneficial
• Strong modelling and rendering skills
• An interest in developing a career in the hospitality design space
• Proficiency in CAD and Adobe CS
• Proficiency in a 3D modelling program – Rhino, SketchUp or similar
• Any additional program proficiencies such as with Revit or Grasshopper, would be an asset
