Junior Designer (Workplace Projects)

We are working with a mid-sized studio that specialise in workplace/ retrofit projects who are looking to expand their team and are looking for a proactive Junior Designer.
Working on exciting commercial and retrofit projects, you will support senior designers, contribute to diverse projects, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative studio. This is a studio that’s a far cry from a traditional practice, one with fast career progression for designers who are eager to make an impact within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing design concepts and support the refinement of ideas, working closely with a multidisciplinary team from senior designers, technical practitioners and external consultants
- Create detailed drawings, presentations, and project documentation for different stages of the design process with the support of senior members of the team
- Collaborate effectively with other designers, architects, and consultants to ensure cohesive project delivery
- Show a proactive and eager attitude to grow within the industry and part-take confidently in creative discussions
Key Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- Strong communication skills and confidence in contributing to team discussions and client interactions
- A proactive and adaptable attitude, with a keen interest in expanding skills and knowledge in the field
- At least 1 year working in professional practice is necessary for the role with experience in workplace or retrofit projects being desirable but not necessary
- A well-rounded portfolio demonstrating strong design skills and creativity
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with Revit is a bonus
