Lead Architect – Healthcare

The Role:

A global design studio known for their people-centric approach are seeking a Lead Architect for a unique role within their healthcare team. This studio has an excellent reputation for producing award-winning work across a variety of sectors whilst creating a progressive approach to a working environment.

This is a collaborative role to aid in developing an existing global brand within the healthcare sector and assisting the growth of the business within UK. Initially the role will be focused on strategic business development alongside leading projects and teams from concept to completion.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Director/Lead Architect with expertise within the healthcare space to be part of a new and exciting team in UK with the support of an established practice!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, lead, and oversee the healthcare team and its projects
• Lead project teams, ensuring design and technical excellence
• Contribute to studio strategy, bringing forward ideas to help drive the business forward
• Chair and lead internal meetings, both with the local teams and the other international offices
• Build client relationships including attending and leading client meetings
• Manage project budgets and financials ensuring profitability
• Conduct check-ins with project team leaders, project workflow scheduling ensuring projects are successfully delivered on time to the highest quality
• Participate in contract negotiation and project pricing
• Ensure processes and procedures are streamlined, implementing improvements where necessary to promote efficiency across the team
• Mentor staff, identify areas for improvement and promote a positive and successful working environment
• Be abreast of industry trends, current projects and help promote the company’s brand identity, acting as a company ambassador at all times
• Oversee the teams staffing and resourcing needs, with involvement in hiring, interviewing and onboarding/training new employees
• Conduct team performance reviews
• Manage workload projections

Key Skills:

• ARB registered architect
• 10-15 years leadership experience within healthcare architecture or relevant sector
• Excellent communication skills
• Motivational in creating high performance and design excellence
• Demonstrates strong leadership, commercial and strategic thinking
• Confident in bringing forward ideas and improvements
• Strong local and global connections is highly beneficial
