Lead Architect (Luxury Private Residential Projects)

The Role:

We have a unique opportunity to join a bespoke, multi-disciplinary design studio in Cornwall that produce high-quality, design led work. They are looking for a Lead Architect to spearhead their architecture team.

Our client has a strong pipeline of exciting projects ahead of them and you will play a pivotal role in the growth of the business and will be involved in all aspects of the company from developing initial concepts through to mentoring team members, managing budgets and managing client relations. The ideal person will be a director level architect with a passion for design-led, high quality residential projects and will have experience of leading teams and projects through all stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership of all stages 0 – 7
• Successfully manage the architectural team and a portfolio of bespoke projects efficiently and profitably
• Lead and develop design solutions
• Take responsibility for all strategic issues and reporting directly to business leaders
• Ensure that all architectural, structural, services installation, and other building elements are technically coordinated throughout the design
• Manage client relations

Key Skills:

• Excellent design/technical knowledge and experience
• ARB Registered Architect with 10+years’ experience
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of UK construction and building legislation
• Experience working on UK private residential projects is essential
• Excellent communication skills and team leadership
• Excellent software skills including ArchiCAD and AutoCAD
• Strong coordination experience and ability to manage multi-disciplinary contractors.
