Marketing Manager

The Role:

Our client, a well-known architecture firm with a strong focus on civic work, is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their NYC studio.

This role is a great fit for someone with a background in architecture, construction, or design as well as previous experience on a marketing or communications team. This position would involve managing workloads for a robust marketing team. The role requires someone with an expert level of organization, a friendly and resourceful attitude, and the ability to work to deadline within a busy creative studio. The role includes managing the proposal process, being a point person to upper leadership, and working with PR and communications teams to identify leads and develop effective strategies for bringing in new business. Someone with previous experience managing a team, or proven leadership skills, is highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a resource and point person for the marketing team, as well as a source of information and advice to upper leadership
  • Manage team workloads simultaneously across a busy pipeline of creative projects
  • Perform ongoing market research and track leads for new business
  • Work with communications teams and lead the interview preparation process for all press engagements
  • Oversee proposal production from start to finish, managing deadlines and team members accordingly
  • Manage project and client data using firm-wide databases and other organizational systems
  • Bring new ideas to the firm for creating compelling marketing collateral
  • Support other firm-wide marketing initiatives as needed

Key Skills:

  • Strong level of previous experience in marketing, preferably within A/E/C space
  • Expert knowledge of architecture + design
  • Experience drafting and monitoring budgets surrounding project proposals and awards submissions
  • Ability to create and edit visual and written narratives around architecture and design
  • Strong time management + organizational skills, as well as the ability to execute projects and lead teams with little oversight
  • Strong focus on creative strategy, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit and healthy sense of competition
  • Someone with a team ethic and the confidence to bring in new ideas
  • Experience in Adobe and InDesign is highly beneficial
