Office Manager

About The Role:

We are working with a mid-sized, multi-disciplinary engineering practice that’s seeking an experienced and proactive Office Manager to facilitate the smooth running of their studio. This is a key role at the heart of a supportive, professional studio.

This role covers the full spectrum of office management responsibilities, from maintaining supplies and greeting guests to overseeing admin processes, occasional PA support to the directors and supporting both HR and finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations including supplies, petty cash, and general admin
  • Act as front-of-house, welcoming guests and managing calls.
  • Coordinate with HR, insurance, and pension providers; support staff onboarding and reviews
  • Assist with invoicing, debt chasing, logging project leads, and maintaining financial records
  • Manage internal documentation, and support ISO compliance
  • Provide occasional PA support to Directors, including minute-taking and diary management
  • Support marketing, business development, and organisation of staff and client events
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems to support operational efficiency

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Relevant office admin experience within a similar role ideally within the build environment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive and professional attitude
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player
  • Interest in design, architecture, or the built environment is advantageous
