Operations Manager

The Role:

Our client, a high-end boutique ceramic design studio renowned for its meticulously curated range of premium products, are currently in search of an Operations Manager to join their team in northwest London.

As the Operations Manager, your role encompasses the comprehensive oversight of all business operations and personnel, ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of customer orders across all stages. You will lead a compact team, with your responsibilities evenly distributed between sales and operations. The role requires liaising across the wider team, and overseeing systems, and processes to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower staff with essential tools for customer interactions
  • Establish sales best practices for enhanced engagement
  • Supervise sales team, ensuring timely client assistance
  • Manage warehouse, quality control, and shipments
  • Overlook incoming deliveries and managing incorrect deliveries promptly
  • Oversee client sample process
  • Monitor sales margins, discounts, and products and optimise order processes
  • Ensure accurate order documentation
  • Supervise purchase order systems
  • Provide system training and implement useful system add-ons
  • Generate insightful reports
  • Oversee and coach staff performance
  • Manage HR tasks including hiring and annual performance reviews
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and training
  • Offer guidance on complex situations

Key Skills:

  • Significant experience leading teams and streamlining processes is a must
  • Prior ceramics / luxury furniture industry experience beneficial
  • Meticulous eye for detail and strong system orientation
  • Dedicated to task completion and efficiency
  • Confident managing multiple projects
  • Thrives on system setup and management
  • Effective team and people management skills
  • Driven approach with high quality standards
  • Strong IT aptitude
  • Excellent customer service and poised demeanour
