Part II/Architectural Technologist

About The Role:

We have partnered with a socially conscious and design-led architecture studio who are looking for a Part II/Architectural Technologist to join their friendly studio in London.

This is a great opportunity to join a studio that is thriving; working within the retail team, you would be delivering several retail fit-out projects through Revit across London and the UK. This is an ideal role for a Part II/ Architectural Technologist who wants to gain on-site exposure on fast-paced projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients and design teams advising on any site or regulatory constraints
  • Monitor design processes from conception to completion to ensure consistency of design ideas and client satisfaction
  • Undertake site surveys and produce existing and proposed drawings reflecting this
  • Assist on the production of construction drawings whilst coordinating with structural consultants, building regulation boards and other external bodies
  • Liaise with different sub-consultants and specialists when resolving potential clashes
  • Partake in client meetings to discuss constructions processes on-site
  • Conduct final inspections after the projects have been completed
  • Support Project Managers and Senior Architects when producing documentations to obtain building control approvals, planning consent and other compliance tasks
  • Liaise with local authorities before, during and after construction process

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • A degree within architecture or a relevant degree is necessary
  • Strong proficiency in Revit is a must
  • At least 2 years within professional practice is essential
  • Exposure to retail fit-out or workplace/commercial projects is desirable for the role
  • Demonstrable experience working through technical and construction stages
  • A good eye for technical detailing
  • Prior experience of building regulations and planning processes in the UK is desirable
  • Ability to work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
