Procurement Assistant
About the Role:
The Crowd are working with a highly regarded, boutique design consultancy studio, renowned for their innovative design and high-quality project delivery. They are looking for a Procurement Assistant to join their social and welcoming team in central London.
You will be a key and integral part of the studio and a crucial link between the design team and company supply chain. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, ensuring timelines are met, and supporting smooth delivery on commercial interior projects. The ideal person will have previous experience in a procurement role within the interior design sector and will possess a collaborative and team focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all procurement for projects, including furniture, fabrics, bespoke items, and accessories

Ensure order confirmations and invoices match purchase orders; resolve discrepancies with suppliers

Maintain accurate, line-by-line project tracking; flag issues that may impact installation timelines

Coordinate with trusted suppliers and storage units to ensure timely deliveries

Handle customs clearance and update internal systems promptly

Enter all invoices and credit card purchases accurately, ensuring VAT and credit terms compliance

Support and attend project installations under the guidance of the design team

Manage all pre/post-install documentation: lighting schedules, image files, aftercare manuals, inventory

Provide occasional reception cover (e.g., phones during breaks or absences)

Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and supplier evaluations

Perform other administrative and coordination tasks as needed
Key Skills/Requirements:

2+ years’ experience in a procurement or coordination role, ideally within interior design
-
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
-
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Confident with procurement software and proficient in Excel

Comfortable working under pressure and handling multiple tasks

Positive team player with a willingness to learn and support installations

Physically capable of assisting with on-site work when needed
