Procurement Manager

The Role:

 A leading and highly sought after international interior design studio are looking for a Procurement Manager with previous experience in the luxury interiors field to spearhead procurement operations across multiple prestigious interior design projects within their London studio.

As the Procurement Manager, you will take charge of leading the procurement team, overseeing the acquisition and manufacturing of detailed FF&E requirements. This entails sourcing a diverse range of items, including bespoke pieces, off-the-shelf products, and antiques. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, managing documentation, spreadsheets, invoicing, and procurement processes.

This is a perfect opportunity for an individual who has a comprehensive understanding of procurement with interior design who possesses exceptional organisational skills and efficiency. A genuine passion for outstanding design while also asserting a solid knowledge of furniture and architectural materials are essential attributes for succeeding within this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supervising a small recruitment team
  • Developing the initial FF&E procurement budgets
  • Sourcing quotations from suppliers
  • Negotiating prices and terms for standard and bespoke items
  • Managing the ordering process and maintaining communication with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Ensuring procurement activities align with budget and schedule requirements
  • Conducting inspections of goods upon delivery in collaboration with FF&E designers
  • Coordinating with contractors and the client team to schedule FF&E installations
  • Reviewing supplier invoices for payment and supporting the accounts team with project reconciliation

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a senior procurement position within the interior design sector
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proficient using Excel software
  • Confident team player to who ensures a positive work environment and can act as a company ambassador internally and externally
  • Dedicated in upholding the client’s professional reputation
