Project Architect (Civic & Institutional Design)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex civic projects through all stages, from concept to construction
• Work closely with design directors, consultants, and client stakeholders
• Prepare technical documentation, details, and construction drawings
• Ensure compliance with zoning, building codes, and regulatory approvals
• Contribute to design excellence while managing project delivery
• Guide and mentor junior staff across design and documentation phases

Key Skills/Requirements:

• Accredited degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
• 7–10 years of experience in public or institutional projects
• Excellent Revit proficiency; strong detailing and technical abilities
• Experience coordinating with consultants and managing deadlines
• Knowledge of NYC zoning and codes preferred
• Passion for civic architecture and socially meaningful work
