Project Architect (Residential)

About The Role:

A thriving, boutique, family-run architecture studio focused on residential projects is seeking a versatile Project Architect to join their close-knit, friendly team.

This role offers the opportunity to work and lead across all project stages, with full autonomy on small-scale domestic extensions, conversions, and new-build dwellings. Experience delivering UK domestic projects through RIBA Stages 0-7 is essential, along with strong technical expertise and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Located near Liverpool Street, the studio has a robust pipeline of projects across London and Essex and this provides the opportunity to join a flexible and collaborative studio where you would be exposed to all aspects of a growing business.

A UK driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on private residential projects through stages 0 – 7
• Develop designs with clients and secure projects
• Coordination with relevant consultants and contractors
• Produce presentations and packages for planning, tender and construction with minimal supervision
• Oversee construction on-site
• Act as a point of contact for clients and other external stakeholders
• Attend site/projects where required

Key Skills/Requirements:

• Excellent technical knowledge and experience
• ARB registered Architect with 5+ years’ experience
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of UK construction and building legislation
• Strong eye for detail
• Ability to lead projects across all stages
• Experience working on UK domestic projects is essential
• Strong client facing skills
• UK driving licence and the ability to travel to site in East London and Essex
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent software skills including AutoCAD
• Strong coordination experience and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary contractors
