Junior Project Controller

The Role:

Our client who has made waves through the architecture and design industry is looking to hire a Junior Project Controller to contribute to all-things project accounting. The role is ideal for someone who loves the pace and excitement of an influential design studio and has some previous experience working within project accounting.

Located in an easy-to-access part of Brooklyn, in a beautifully constructed collaborative office, this company offers an unrivalled culture. Key Responsibilities:

  • All project-related accounting including key metrics, costs and revenue analysis, completion % analysis etc
  • Ensure accuracy of data on new and existing projects in relation to the project accounting system and sub-consultant tools used at the firm
  • Working with the wider finance team to ensure timely end of month closedown
  • Monthly reviews with leadership to review the financial health of projects
  • Weekly and monthly reporting duties
  • Cost coding and processing of A/P, project expenses and timesheets
  • Contribute to annual audit
  • Documentation and maintenance of all invoices including project fees and expenses including budgets, invoice forecasting and general project performance
  • Communication and correspondence with clients and internal consultants regarding invoicing and receivables
  • General need for reporting and documentation to track financial history on all projects

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business management
  • 1-4 years of experience in project accounting or project control
  • Experience working in an office focused in architecture, interior architecture, engineering or interior design
  • Familiarity with Excel
  • Motivated to join a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys a collaborative and social office culture
