Project Design Coordinator

About The Role:

A global-minded architecture and design studio with a strong presence across the US is looking to grow its Los Angeles team with multiple Project Design Coordinators. With a culture built around collaboration, research-driven design, and innovation at scale, the studio works across a diverse range of project types, from workplace and education to healthcare, urban mixed-use, and civic infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to join a team that balances design rigor with technical execution, and where architecture intersects with planning, interiors, and sustainability. These contract roles offer the chance to contribute to complex, meaningful work while opening doors for longer-term opportunities within the practice.

This studio offers the best of both worlds: big firm resources with a design-first mindset. You’ll join a team that values cross-disciplinary thinking, design excellence, and technical integrity. Whether you’re seeking a high-value contract role or looking to build something longer-term, this is your chance to work on projects that impact communities and push architecture forward.

If you’re looking to make your mark in LA and work with a team that values bold ideas and thoughtful execution, we’d love to connect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead portions of design and documentation efforts across large-scale projects
  • Translate design intent into detailed, coordinated drawing sets for construction
  • Collaborate across disciplines — architecture, interiors, and planning — to deliver integrated solutions
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and internal teams to ensure technical and design alignment
  • Mentor emerging designers and review documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Stay current with design tools, sustainable materials, and emerging technologies
  • Participate in client discussions, internal reviews, and documentation milestones

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Architectural education (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture or related field)
  • Strong Revit proficiency, with additional experience in Rhino or other 3D modeling tools
  • Familiarity with rendering tools such as Enscape or V-Ray
  • A deep understanding of how buildings go together and the ability to document them clearly
  • An eye for design and a commitment to delivering high-quality built outcomes
  • Experience working in collaborative, fast-paced environments
