Project HR Administrator

The Role:

A Clerkenwell based architecture practice is looking for an HR Administrator to join them on a 6-month fixed-term contract. As the practice continues to thrive and grow, there is every opportunity for the position to become permanent.

The purpose of the role is to coordinate and support the smooth HR administrative processes for a large project team currently working on a high-profile infrastructure project. The ideal person will have experience working in an HR Assistant / Administrant or Coordinator capacity, have experience with HR information systems, and be customer focused in their approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resourcing and Recruitment
  • Ensure the recruitment tracker is up to date
  • Arrange interviews, collect feedback and update the recruitment tracker
  • Decline candidates post the first interview
  • Monitor holidays to ensure staff are taking leave in a timely fashion
  • Raise new starter and leaver tickets for employees, secondees and sub-consultants in a timely manner.
  • Carry out all BPSS checks annually
  • First point of contact for all sick leave
  • Responsible for absence recording and updating the information system
  • Ensuring all holiday is approved
  • Assisting the Admin team with the appraisal and development review process
  • Arrange 6 week, probationary and exit interviews gathering feedback from the team as appropriate

Key Skills:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in an HR Assistant/ Administrator or Coordinator capacity
  • Experience working with HR Information systems
  • Articulate and confident communicator
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communicator
  • Customer focused, with the ability to build relationships and gain trust quickly
  • Aware of when to ask for help, demonstrating consistently sound judgement
  • Able to demonstrate a sensitive approach to confidential matters
  • Resourceful and able to solve problems using your own initiative.
  • Previous experience working in architecture, or the built environment is an advantage
