Senior Architect/Project Architect

The Role:

A prestigious international architecture firm are looking for a Senior Architect/Project Architect to join their design-led team in LA to work on large-scale notable projects.

The position will be a key person within the business and will work alongside the leadership team to successfully deliver projects of high calibre. The ideal person will have experience at later project stages, will have sound knowledge of construction documentation and will possess technical excellence. In addition, you will be a natural collaborator who has the ability to lead and mentor more junior members of the design team. You will have good commercial acumen and the drive to successfully deliver A grade projects,

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage across technical aspects of large-scale projects
• Work with the wider team to ensure deadlines and project milestones are attained
• Advising on CA building codes, materials, and drawing interpretations
• Developing pioneering solutions to design challenges
• Leading and mentoring other team members
• Act as a linchpin between the wider project team
• Be a go-to person for any project issues
• Act as a face of the business – ensuring client relations are maintained to a high level
• Carry out site visits and manage construction documentation
• Liaise with various stakeholders such as contractors and consultants, building officials and vendors

Key Skills:

• Relevant degree/licences
• 8+ years of architecture experience
• Solid experience at later phases
• Proficiency in BIM
• Knowledge of CA building codes
• A strong collaborator with a driven mindset
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills
