Senior Business Development Executive (Cities Department)
The Role:
We are looking for an innovative and passionate Senior Business Development Executive to join a large, world-class design engineering consultancy on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting brand and work on highly recognised projects around the globe. This candidate will report directly to the Business Development Manager and assist the Cities department to better exploit the capabilities and unique strengths to win work in the UK and internationally. This role will require you to gather research through a range of BD activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide intelligence, development and implementation of BD strategies for propositions, clients, and markets.
- Work with UK buildings market and senior team on cross-business unit and cross-sector propositions and key relationship management activities and opportunities.
- Be the key point of contact for business development activities within the Cities department of the business, providing support to the bids team.
- Organise KRM meetings with clients and collaborators and help build their relationship; identifying common strengths and opportunities to work together.
- Advise the creation of focused BD strategies and plans with insight from data on opportunities, bids, and projects.
- Attend conferences and conduct research into market opportunities and key clients and prospects, to inform opportunity pursuit plans and KRM plans.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in the built environment is highly desirable with knowledge of design, planning and construction and the ecosystem of government, developers, planners, architects and project managers.
- Experience of client research, with knowledge of current trends and topics of the built environment.
- Experience of organising business to business meetings and creating material for presentations, proposals and pitches.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems with an organised and methodical approach to tasks.
- Solid influencing skills and the ability to problem solve and form relationships across all levels of the business.
