Senior Commercial Interior Designer

The Role:

The Crowd are working with an established luxury interior design practice who are looking for a well-rounded commercial designer to join their inclusive team.

Though this is a senior and leading position, this role is heavily involved in design and team contribution. Senior designers on this team are expected to have significant experience across all project phases, and are comfortable leading a team and client communication throughout the life of a project. This studio is involved in a range of projects across the luxury commercial space including hospitality, retail and multi-family. Their style is highly collaborative, and designers here have the opportunity to grow in their career on a defined path.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of design from SD through to CA across a multitude of project typologies
• Coordinate with other team members and outside consultants throughout the project timeline
• Significant involvement in design review in regard to drawing packages, shop drawings and other documents
• Develop space plans and related design documentation
• Oversee the production of technical documents
• Mentor junior team members and maintain high team moral and creativity

Key Skills

• A bachelor or master’s degree in architecture or interior design
• Senior-level experience working on commercial projects across hospitality and multi-family spaces
• Demonstrated history leading interior design projects in a team setting
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CS and Enscape
• Versatility with creating and preparing design packages across a broad range of project types
• Deep familiarity with FF&E and their applications
• Familiarity developing project schedules
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• An enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work hands-on with a team
