Senior Design Manager
About The Role:
Our client, a large high-profile architecture practice who are at the top of their game and are recognised for their iconic and innovative projects across the globe are seeking a well presented, outgoing and down-to-earth Senior Design Manager to join their team in Southwest London.
As the Senior Design Manager, you will be working closely with the Director as well as managing the creative direction and execution of several high-profile and complex architectural projects. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual with strong collaboration skills, experience with high-profile clients and a solid foundation in design principles, delivery and project management. Working and leading a talented team of architects and consultants, you would ensure projects are completed with outstanding quality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership when managing and mentoring the wider design team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
- Provide project oversights and manage the design processes from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations
- Input strategies effectively and communicate these to clients and stakeholders
- Define project objectives, scope and creative direction
- Maintain quality assurance and design excellent across all deliverables and ensure industry standards, building regulations, codes and company values are in place
- Offer resource management when allocating team resources effectively and oversee the project timelines and budgets
- Build strong client relationships when presenting design concepts, briefs and be the go-to person for client engagement to ensure their satisfaction
Key Skills/Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Architecture, Design or a related field is necessary
- 6+ years of experience in architectural design, project management or design management roles is preferable
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, innovative architectural projects
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of building regulations, codes and construction processes
- Experience working on large-scale projects in the UK and internationally across the globe is beneficial
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is beneficial
