Senior FF&E Designer

The Role:

 Our client, a boutique luxury Interior Design studio, who work across a range of disciplines including workplace sectors and high-end residential, are looking for a Senior FF&E Designer to join their team on a permanent basis immediately.

Working in a beautiful studio in Central London, you would be responsible for leading a social and fun team through all projects when building client relationships, understanding client briefs and sourcing bespoke fittings and equipment on several projects at a time.

This is a role that is perfect for a designer with previous leadership experience as well as a great eye for detail, an understanding of contemporary style and brilliant verbal, visual and written communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Through previous experience, you would be leading and managing the team through client briefs and building the projects from an extensive knowledge of furniture and material suppliers
  • A in depth knowledge of products, materials, and suppliers and how this would translate when coordinating this with technical and furniture shop drawings
  • Understanding and proven experience of project management including budgeting, scheduling as well as an innate design sensibility for different styles and aesthetics
  • Ability to maintain a sociable, personable and a sensitive manner when communicating with both clients, external consultants, and the internal team
  • A designer who can work both collaboratively when delegating to junior members of the team as well as an ability to self-motivate yourself independently

Key Skills:

  • A degree within Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture is essential
  • Previous experience working on hospitality or high-end residential projects
  • Knowledge and understanding for the aesthetics of lighting and the atmosphere this would create is a preferable skill
  • An understanding of financial aspects of running a design project including timescales and budgeting is preferable
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Suite and AutoCAD as well as experience using Estimac to schedule FF&E
