Senior Finance Coordinator
About The Role:
Our client, a friendly and dynamic engineering practice, are on the hunt for an enthusiastic Senior Finance Coordinator to join their London office.
As the Senior Finance Coordinator, you will be offering comprehensive financial support as the business continues to grow and evolve. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and will thrive in a collaborative environment. You will primarily report to the Financial Director while also liaising with our engineering team leads to gather necessary information, such as invoicing details, and provide them with general financial support.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full invoicing process, including generating, dispatching invoices, and issuing credit notes as needed
- Maintain a detailed invoicing forecast to support financial planning
- Manage purchase and debtor ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Communicate with clients to negotiate and confirm payment schedules
- Facilitate the setup of new clients, external consultants, and suppliers in Xero and internal systems
- Support the transition from QuickBooks to Xero, ensuring a smooth migration of financial data
- Run management accounts, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare regular cashflow reports
- Oversee staff expense reporting and reimbursement processes
- Analyse financial data to provide insights and support informed decision-making
- Liaise with banks and manage international payments and transactions
Key Skills/Requirements

Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or demonstrable experience in a financial management role
- Proven experience with QuickBooks and Xero accounting platforms
- High level of accuracy with the ability to meticulously review and check your own work
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence interacting with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of independently prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative mindset and ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation
