Senior Interior Designer (Multifamily Design)

Renowned for their forward-thinking approach and commitment to creating transformative spaces, our client is a distinguished architecture and design firm specializing in innovative solutions. They are seeking a New York-based Senior Interior Designer to lead and elevate multifamily projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape the creative vision for multifamily projects, overseeing all phases of design from initial concept to final execution
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
• Curate, procure, and coordinate FF&E selections
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, presenting design concepts and solutions effectively and confidently
• Develop and refine detailed construction and contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout all project phases
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering collaboration and skill development
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, and vendors to align design vision with implementation strategies
• Lead site visits and construction walkthroughs to ensure that design intent is maintained, resolving challenges promptly and creatively

Key Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited institution
• 8+ years of industry experience, with a strong portfolio in multi-family and luxury residential design
• Advanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering software
• Proven ability to combine strong design skills with in-depth technical knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of custom millwork, joinery, and detailing to achieve refined, high-quality interiors
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of presenting ideas clearly and building strong client relationships
• Proven ability to oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously, balancing creative vision with practical execution
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-disciplinary teams, ensuring successful project outcomes
