Senior Project Manager (Luxury Interior Design)
About The Role:
An internationally acclaimed interior design firm – known for its bold creative vision, boundary-pushing aesthetic, and work across luxury hospitality, private high-end residential, and lifestyle environments, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its growing leadership team.
This role calls for a confident and experienced design professional who can seamlessly bridge the creative and technical realms. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and adept at managing complex, design-intensive projects from early concept through final installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of multiple high-profile interior design projects, including luxury hotels, private residences, and fine dining environments.
- Serve as the key liaison among clients, internal teams, consultants, and contractors – ensuring design vision and execution remain aligned
- Coordinate and review all project documentation for accuracy, code compliance, and adherence to creative intent
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and resourcing plans; anticipate challenges and proactively ensure milestones and deliverables are met
- Guide teams through design development, documentation, construction administration, and installation
- Provide thoughtful mentorship and oversight to team members of varying levels; promote team growth and performance through clear direction and feedback
- Oversee collaboration between design, technical, and FF&E teams to ensure consistent quality and cohesion across all phases
Key Skills / Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in interior design or architecture, including demonstrated leadership on complex design projects
- Strong command of the full design and construction process, from conceptual development through construction and final handoff
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented and highly adaptable; thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced studio environment
- Deep knowledge of construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, ASIs, IDSKs, and consultant coordination
- Fluency in Revit and/or AutoCAD; working knowledge of Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office
- Comfortable traveling for site visits, client meetings, and installations
