Production & Project Manager

The Role:

Our client is a successful fine arts studio based in Brooklyn who are looking for a dynamic and experienced Production & Project Manager to join them in this exciting time of growth.

The role will oversee the day-to-day and production functions of the team including managing artwork production & fabrication and managing relationships with clients, vendors & other stakeholders. This is a pivotal role related to the success of the studio and requires solid communication and organization skills. The ideal candidate is someone with the ability, enthusiasm and confidence to oversee and manage the studio, its projects and team.

This is an exceptional and diverse opportunity, where you can make an impact within a studio that has vision and ambition. There is also an option to travel internationally with the role, although this is not a requirement, it is at the choice of the candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficiency across all operational aspects relating to project production, the team and studio
  • Provide solid support and advice to the Artist and studio’s senior team
  • Be a main point of contact for the wider internal team
  • Effectively manage artwork production, project and studio organization
  • Support production and fabrication schedules for projects and exhibitions
  • Manage and lead internal and external meetings
  • Professionally manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Carry out research in relation to installations and artwork fabrication
  • Produce and present strategies relating to growth and development for the studio
  • Manage the hiring process of the studio’s temporary and permanent hires
  • Implementing studio policies and procedure and ensuring these are adhered to

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a managerial and production-focused role
  • Experience in project management – deep familiarity with project scheduling, budgeting and communication
  • Comfortable holding consultants accountable and focused on ensuring projects are completed on time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen interest in creative arts
  • Natural attention to detail with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Enthusiastic in your approach with an innovative mindset
  • Exceptional ability to apply instructions and policy on a consistent basis
