Studio Support Manager

The Role:

An award winning, globally recognised architectural practice are looking for a highly organised and experienced Studio Support Manager to oversee and manage the smooth running and function of their wonderful Central London studio.

The ideal candidate will have previous managerial and administrative experience and will be comfortable working in a medium-large studio/office. This is a varied and pivotal role that would be perfect for someone looking to take the next step up in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all relationships and contracts with studio suppliers, maintaining price and quality
  • Manage the studio facilities, keeping the presentation and function to a high standard
  • Manage studio maintenance
  • Liaise with the Finance Team to manage facilities budget
  • Responsible for all Health & Safety matters
  • Provide day-to-day operational and administration support, including covering Front of House duties, booking couriers and taxis and maintaining the studio seating plan
  • Report on the running of the studio, identifying and escalating issues to the Studio Chair where necessary
  • Responsible for the onboarding, induction, and studio orientation for new starters
  • Manage all international travel and accommodation bookings including travel visas/documents
  • Work with the People & Culture team on programmes and initiatives
  • Provide financial support (manage office expenses/invoices, upload invoices, credit card management)

Key Skills:

  • Previous office management experience, ideally within the built environment
  • Qualifications in Business Administration or HR are highly desirable
  • Flexible, proactive and able to use initiative
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook is essential
  • Excellent time management and a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with discretion
  • Minute taking experience is advantageous
