Project Architect (Retrofit Commercial)

About The Role:

Our client, a mid-sized bespoke architectural studio, is looking for an experienced Project Architect who has passion and experience working on exciting retrofit workplace/commercial projects in London.

With a studio based in South London, the ideal candidate would have strong proficiency in Vectorworks and an understanding and proven experience working on workplace/commercial projects from concept to completion with an ability to produce technical and construction information with a collaborative team. You would be a pivotal addition to the team by streamlining project workflows, leading several workplace and commercial projects, and gaining valuable on-site experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Play a pivotal role within the team, drawing on your prior experience of workplace and office projects, particularly within the retrofit sector.
• Coordinate and lead both external consultants and internal team members.
• Demonstrate strong design flair and attention to detail when working on bespoke, crafted projects.
• Bring a confident and collaborative approach to working within a mid-sized studio.

Key Skills/Requirements:

• A degree in architecture or a relevant qualification.
• Previous experience in office/commercial projects; adaptive reuse or retrofit exposure is beneficial for the role.
• Prior experience in technical stages within the sector is beneficial.
• Strong working knowledge of Vectorworks is preferable but not essential.
• Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
