Senior Residential Interior Architect (LA Based)
About The Role:
A highly regarded, design-focused architecture studio based in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Interior Architect to lead its interior architecture practice. Known for its refined residential work and commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and timeless design, the studio creates bespoke homes that balance tradition with modern living.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the interior identity of the studio, guide project teams, and collaborate directly with leadership, clients, and trusted industry partners.
The Senior Interior Architect will oversee the full interior architecture scope across multiple high-end residential projects, from early design vision through construction and installation, while mentoring junior staff and elevating studio standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative direction and technical execution of interior architecture across luxury residential projects
- Design and develop custom millwork, cabinetry, lighting concepts, material palettes, fixtures, and architectural interior details
- Produce and oversee detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications that reflect both design intent and constructability
- Translate conceptual design into coordinated, buildable documentation with a high level of precision and craftsmanship
- Present design concepts, material schemes, and schedules to clients; respond thoughtfully to feedback and revisions
- Manage coordination with architects, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and vendors throughout all project phases
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, artisans, and specialty trades
- Guide and mentor junior designers, providing leadership, design direction, and quality control
- Ensure all interiors align with the studio’s values around sustainability, longevity, and material responsibility
Key Skills / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in high-end residential required; single-family residential preferred
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept through construction and installation
- Exceptional attention to detail, material sensitivity, and understanding of custom fabrication
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, architectural detailing, and building systems
- Confident, client-facing communicator with polished presentation skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit, Enscape, or other rendering tools is preferred
